Zainab Gaafar
Zainab is an architect and a Creative and Cultural Project Manager specializing in research and design. She is the founder of Studio Urban, an experimental research studio based in Khartoum. Zainab and Studio Urban are deeply interested in urban studies, their intersection with culture, and the accessibility of knowledge about cities, including their history, development, and policies. The studio produces media and podcasts and incorporates community engagement tools in its research practices.
Currently, Zainab serves as a curator and exhibition designer for Safeguarding Sudan's Living Heritage (SSLH), leading the development of the SSLH museum. Through her work, she explores critical questions about the role of museums during times of conflict and the significance of safeguarding heritage beyond institutional spaces
Daoud Hashim Malik
He is a seasoned supply chain professional with deep expertise in global logistics and firsthand experience operating in complex environments, particularly in Sudan. Having lived and worked there for 24 years, Daoud has an in-depth understanding of both international logistics dynamics and on-the-ground operational realities.
